Dave qualified Chartered Accountant – a long time ago. He then worked in advertising for 30 years, mainly as a media strategist, but also as the Chief Operating Officer of an internationally-affiliated agency, and often fulfilling client service or copywriting roles. On the side, he is now a freelance writer, but his main job is as Cape Town representative for Africa media brokers, planners and buyers Marnox Media. He believes that high performance can be cultivated through knowledge, passion, commitment, and creativity. He finds inspiration in the works of great writers, such as Nigerian novelist Chinua Achebe (“One of the truest tests of integrity is its blunt refusal to be compromised”).

Tendai Luwo is a seasoned marketing and communications specialist with over 12 years of experience working across global and local brands in Africa. He has worked with some of the most prestigious media houses such as Viacom Africa and MNet Africa, as well as major television franchises like Idols, Big Brother, and The Voice South Africa. In 2018 Tendai founded his own marketing and communications strategic consultancy, David & Langton, that provides future-facing communications strategies to international brands helping them navigate the complex marketing landscape.
